Hello Everyone!
Its official according to Vogue and other major fashion magazines, the 1940s fashions are in! Personally I love most decades but the 1940s are a ladies' dream come true! Why you ask? because the 40s fashions were designed to flatter the figure, it didn't matter how slim or not you were, the draping details hid the not so flat tummies or accentuated curves with certain darts, tucks, shirring and ruched , knot twists etc, the necklines were always certain to make the most of your face, your figure would be shown to its fullest potential with the beautiful fashions of the 1940s. And because most of the designs were clever not requiring yards of fabric, you can splurge and use that extra special fabric!
Also another favorite era the 1950s with the feminine style dresses is getting even more popular, gee we could have told the magazines that a long time ago! I love the 50s styles, choose from yards of fabric to the slim wiggle figure hugging 'office' styles, so much choice!

Personal News: Well its hard to believe that summer is winding down, I hope everyone had a great summer filled with wonderful happy times! We just returned from taking our daughter Alexandra back to university for her 2nd year, not as many tears on her part this time, but the same amount on mine :) Our summer had been a record breaking summer with over 2 months of constant 100 + degree weather and no rain, it was a full time job for my husband just keeping all our trees and plants watered so they would survive. We finally have somewhat cooler weather which is giving the trees and plants time to recuperate, some are starting to flower over again, almost like a Thank You! This summer we were fortunate not to experience too much thick smoke from the record number of forest fires surrounding us, the winds worked to our advantage with only a few days where we had to keep the windows closed and thankfully no ash falling as a few summers ago.
As always you are most appreciated and we Thank You for being our customer! Have a wonderful week ! Enjoy your days !
