Simplicity 1543; ©1945; MISSES' AND WOMEN'S JACKET, HAT AND BAG: There are soft gathers at the lower edge of the broad-shouldered jacket cut it is finished with a waist band fastened with a buckle. The hat is cut in one piece and the edges are held together at the back of the head with elastic loops and buttons. Ribbon trims the front and is used to gather up the soft back fullness. The bag is cut in three sections and finished with a handle. The back section has on extended flop which folds over and fastens with a front snap.
